Carols at the Castle
A Joyous start to Christmas
The Good People of Kenilworth and District once again supported the Lions Christmas events in large numbers.
Always a wonderful evening Carols at the Castle in the magical setting of Kenilworth Castle this year was no exception.
| The Salvation Army Band provided the music, with the Clinton School Steel Pan Academy and St Augustine’s School Choir giving additional support to an evening of carols, readings and poetry. |
| One of the highlights of the evening was the young Kenilworth soprano Lucia Silvestro singing the Coventry Carol. But the true stars were the families and the young and the not so young who turned out on a cool evening to sing with great enthusiasm. |

Canon Richard Awre, vicar of St Nicholas Church, the Chair of Warwick District Council, Councillor Felicity Bunker, The Town Mayor, Councillor Dave Shilton, and Mrs Shilton and the Jeremy Wright, MP, were in attendance.
The event went ahead with the generous support of MCL, who supplied the sound and lighting and English Heritage.
